Q: How long has DJ’s Painting & Remodeling Inc. been in business?
A: Our company was founded in 1991 by David Juarez. He began the business while attending Illinois State University, using his previous painting and management work experience in the Chicago suburbs during his summer breaks. The company immediately expanded their services to include remodeling and construction services due to customer demands and requests. Today, our full-service design and remodeling team includes highly qualified carpenters, electricians, plumbers, audio-visual specialists and decorators. Headquartered in Bloomington-Normal, we proudly offer our dedicated service and attention to detail to customer throughout Central Illinois.

Q: Are you insured?
A: Every member of our team is covered by Workman’s Compensation and General Liability insurance, fully protecting our customers. In addition, we carry additional umbrella liability insurance for your protection and peace of mind.

Q: Do you provide references?
A: Our staff will be happy to provide you with a list of our satisfied customers. We encourage you to contact any of our references, which may include someone you already know!

Q: Are your prices competitive?
A: Our prices are very competitive with other insured, quality painters and remodelers in the area. If you do see a difference in price, it is most likely due to our commitment to thorough preparation and quality. Q: Do you require a contract?
A: Before any work begins, we will present you with a highly detailed contract to be signed with us. This thorough listing will let you know exactly what you are paying for, and eliminates the additional charges often found when dealing with other less-reputable companies.

Q: How will my project be supervised?
A: Every project is immediately assigned a team leader. This person will conduct an initial on-site walk-through and will create a set of objectives and goals. Once work begins, the team leader will provide our office with multiple progress reports every day along with required daily on-site inspections. This thoroughness results in our high standard of quality and complete satisfaction.

Q: How do you handle deadlines?
A: Before any work begins, we will map out a detailed schedule incorporating all phase deadlines. Every member of our team is aware of these deadlines and strives to the best of their abilities to meet them to your satisfaction.

Q: How will my personal property be protected during the project?
A: We will treat your property as if it is our own. We take extra care to thoroughly cover all flooring and furniture, and even cover air ducts and seal off entries to prevent other areas of your home or office from being affected. If we are working outside, rest assured that your lawn, shrubs and plants will be protected.

Q: Will the project site be cleaned up after completion?
A: We strive to create the minimal amount of disruption possible for our clients. That’s why, at the end of every day, we clean and vacuum all areas involved in the project. Entire-housing cleaning services are available upon completion of your project if requested.

Q: Can DJ’s Painting & Remodeling, Inc. help me with color and interior design services?
A: We understand how overwhelming and consuming projects can appear to be. Our team will gladly work with you on color selection, and our strong relationships with area architects and interior designers allows us to recommend the perfect professional to match your individual taste and style.

Q: Do I need to do anything before your painters arrive?
A: Because every job is unique, we will provide you with a detailed outline covering the responsibilities of both parties before any work begins. In most cases, you only need to remove any small collectibles, pictures, and valuable items; we will take care of the rest.

Q: Does DJ’s Painting & Remodeling, Inc. provide any warranty?
A: Yes, we offer our clients a 100% satisfaction guarantee. Our company’s reputation for quality and efficiency is based upon your complete satisfaction with our services. We will sit down with you and discuss your expectations before a contract is signed, ensuring that all of your needs and wants are completed to your satisfaction.

Q: What should I look for in a warranty?
A: If you are looking for a warranty on your painting project, you need to rely on an experienced painting contractor as product warranties are difficult to prove and claim. DJ’s Painting offers a warranty to show responsibility for the quality of the job we perform, providing you with a detailed listing of the aspects of a job that are covered and those that are not. As a professional contractor, our warranty is based on the details of the job, how it’s performed, and the types of products used. Damage or abuse caused after the completion of a job, as well as the condition and design affects of your home on the paint job, will not be covered by a painting contractor. A reasonable warranty for most exterior paint jobs is 1 year, while most interior paint jobs will not require a warranty as they last for many years.

Q: What are your payment terms?
A: For most projects, we require a 10% security deposit at time of contract with the balance due upon completion of the project, payable by cash or check. For larger jobs, we provide our clients with a payment schedule.
